TripAdvisor® has honoured DelSuites with a 2014 Certificate of Excellence. This great achievement honours hospitality excellence and is presented to organizations that attain top ratings from TripAdvisor traveller reviews.
TripAdvisor uses a proprietary algorithm to determine the honorees which takes into account reviews ratings. To qualify, companies need to maintain an overall rating of four or higher, out of five, as reviewed by travelers. Additional criteria include the recency of reviews in the last 12 months.
“Winning this Certificate of Excellence is a accurate source of pride for the entire team at DelSuites and we’d like to thank all of our past guests who took the time to complete a review on TripAdvisor,” said Dan Henderson, General Manager at DelSuites. “There is no greater seal of approval than being recognized by one’s customers. With the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence based on customer reviews, the accolade is a remarkable vote of confidence to our business and our continued commitment to excellence.”

Making the move to a new city or a new home can be a difficult transition for the whole family; factor in a teenager or two, and you’re bound to encounter a few additional challenges. From leaving their best friends to finding new ones, teens can be more sensitive and perhaps even a little less adaptable than younger children especially when their school, social network and extracurricular activities suddenly change. But whether you’ll be staying in a short-term or long-term rental, try incorporating these ideas to help lighten the load for your teen and make it a smooth transition for your whole family.
Put In Face Time
Thanks to technology, teens can still stay connected with their friends no matter where they may live through a variety of social media networks. With DelSuites free WIFI, encourage your son or daughter to schedule weekly chat dates with friends on Skype of FaceTime which will help them feel that they aren’t missing out. If your teen doesn’t already use Facebook or Twitter, help them set up an account and encourage them to reach out to friends and family, which is a great way to share updates about your whole family’s new adventure. At the same time, it’s important that your teen begins to establish friendships at school and in your new neighbourhood. Be supportive of inviting new friends and classmates back to your home or encourage your teen to participate in extracurricular activities or sports where they’ll meet new friends who share similar interests.
Creating a Room of their Own
Even if you’re living in a furnished rental in Toronto, you still want your family to be comfortable. Helping your teen personalize their bedroom with familiar items from your previous home or purchasing a few new accessories that they have selected, will help them create a space for themselves. From homework to finding a quiet spot to read or listen to music, having their own room to retreat to will not only enable them to feel at home but will likely also save you from a few arguments with other children in the family.
Get Involved in the Community
Whether you’re family is residing in a condominium suite in the Toronto’s downtown or suburban dwelling, you’ll find that your neighbourhood is a hub of activity. From arts and entertainment to community recreation centres to an abundance of not-for-profit organizations, it’s easy to find new activities that will keep your teen engaged. Encourage your teen to volunteer with a local community centre or charity group, which will not only help them learn new skills but will also help them establish and broaden their social network; making them feel right at home.
At the 2013 Canadian Employee Relocation beginning Sept 22nd to Sept 24th, Global Crossings will welcome delegates from the relocation industry to build connections, share insights and join fellow professionals for an in-depth look into the future of talent mobility.
Sessions feature an accomplished faculty of speakers including Greg Lindsay, an expert on globalization, urbanization and innovation who will share insights about the experiences of global companies and how they are finding ways to innovate and discover new solutions that will build the workforce of tomorrow.
In addition, more specialized sessions will include topics such as developing an effective global cross border Model led by Howard Greenberg and Suzanne de Lint from KPMG Law LLP and Daena Vida from Oracle Corporation.
Beyond the learning sessions, there are plenty of resources and business solutions to explore at this year’s conference. No matter where your business takes you, DelSuites recognizes that our global economy makes finding the right corporate housing provider a top priority. As a leader in Toronto’s corporate housing market, our team understands the unique needs that face new Torontonians.

Let’s be honest, you’re probably have never given a second thought to how the air conditioning or heating system functions in your suite; until it doesn’t. How about the carpets through-out the building; ever wonder how it stays so fresh and clean? In reality, unless the building conditions are sub-par, it’s unlikely that you’re taking notice of how your home away from home is maintained. But clean carpets and cool suites are all an integral part of a property manager’s role.
At Markham’s Circa location, Property Manager Caroline Li is responsible for ensuring that the building is always in tip-top shape. Through bilingual notices posted in central spots within the building, guests are advised of upcoming maintenance work. With spring in the air, throughout the months of April, May and June you can expect that Circa’s exterior windows, parking garage and carpets will be polished, scoured and scrubbed. While you will want to keep curtains and blinds closed during the annual window cleaning in June, for the most part, you probably won’t even be aware that the cleaning is happening. But whether you’re renting a fully furnished apartment in Markham for yourself or the whole family, thanks to this seasonal cleaning, what you will notice is a totally refreshed environment.
Along with seasonal cleaning, Caroline says that heating and cooling checks are conducted for each suite. According to Caroline, staff will personally contact each guest to explain what will be inspected along with providing their scheduled inspection date. It’s all part of keeping your suite at a comfortable temperature while preventing system leakages and any environmental problems from occurring.
Beyond Circa’s regular maintenance and repair, Caroline is also responsible for the safety of each guest. It’s one of the reasons that she encourages participation in fire drills. Anyone who participates in the fire drill is expected to evacuate their suite, taking the appropriate staircase to the lobby. As an essential emergency procedure, regular fire drills not only ensure that all equipment is functioning but also that every guest knows exactly how to respond and stay safe, should a real emergency occur.
From soft, fresh carpets underfoot to a clean and shiny view, it’s these small yet essential details that ensure a satisfying stay for every guest.
While you may not know how the building lobby stays so fresh or how you’re able to keep your suite at exactly the right temperature, it’s always nice to know that your property manager is keeping you safe and sound.
