From February 24-26, 2014, the DelSuites short term apartment rentals team from Toronto will be attending the CHPA’s annual conference in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The Corporate Housing Providers Association’s (CHPA) annual conference provides plenty of opportunity to engage with like-minded individuals from around the globe. It will allow members to gain knowledge on new business trends in corporate housing, establishing connections and share experiences with potential clients.
The CHPA’s conference will help DelSuites with opportunities to build and strengthen our business for continued success in the years ahead.
Whether you’ll be living away from home for a month or longer, learning to be flexible with your living arrangement is a part of the process. While you can likely get used to different furniture or kitchen appliances, maintaining a safe living environment for your whole family is top priority. From downtown condominiums to suburban dwellings, DelSuites takes safety very seriously, which is why guests have access to a variety of safety features from baby gates to cabinet locks to electrical outlet plugs to childproof your home. Along with the safety features, here are three ways to keep everyone safe and feeling right at home.
Spout It Out
Let’s face it there is nothing worse than having your child knock their head, face or teeth on spout of your bathtub while splashing around. Not only can this be a very painful accident but it’s also a totally avoidable one. Spout covers are available through guest services which can help make bath time a fun and familiar evening activity for everyone.
From your television to lamps to your laptop, cords and cables can be tough to get around. Especially when you’re not in your usual surroundings, children can easily forget where they are and trip over cords or wires that they don’t realize exist. For toddlers and younger children especially, keep cords and cables from the same electronic devices fastened together with a few nylon cable ties. Make it easier on your whole family by keeping additional devices such as laptops, in one area so that that no one gets tripped up by surprise.
As a parent, you’ll know the rooms in your own home that present the most safety issues. When you’re in a new place, check out those areas first before you allow your children to roam freely. Check the windows and doors and request additional child safety systems from guest services if you’ve got a more adventurous child. It’s also wise to check the shelves in closets and open bookcases and remove heavier items that may fall.

Today we celebrate our 15th anniversary, cementing our reputation as one of the most experienced Corporate Housing provider in Toronto. Since the inception of DelSuites, founded on 8th October 1998, the company’s knowledgeable team and relentless customer focus has propelled rapid growth within Toronto.
Over the company’s 15 years in business, DelSuites has provided “A Home Away from Home” to many families and corporate clientele. In addition, DelSuites has offered employment to some of the best in the industry who have been the integral part of this company’s success.
“The team will continue to focus on building a company that thrives and adapts to an ever-changing business climate that will give DelSuites a competitive edge and look forward to celebrating again in another 15 years,” shares DelSuites General Manager, Dan Henderson.
We will continuously reflect on the lessons learned over the past 15 years and will always remember our core values that shape the culture and character of our company. By doing things the right way with respect to ethics and dedicated to provide the best in class in furnished accommodations to our customers. Our feedback consistently ranks among the best in the industry, and we’ve found having both operational experience and a top-notch workforce is the key to making a seamless experience for our customers.
It’s a tough job but someone has to do it. Actually it’s not only someone but a whole team of individuals who unite in a joint effort to give you the experience of a lifetime. From the moment each guest arrives, until the moment they bid farewell, the DelSuites’ staff team is working diligently to ensure that individuals and their families are having the very best experience. Whether you’re checking in to a fully-furnished rental suite for a week or longer, you can relax in the comfort that can be found in your home away from home.
Even before your day begins, the guest services team is responding to emails, verifying schedules and generally planning their day before they hit the office. As part of the joint effort, each team member monitors a 24-hour guest service’s hotline (including evenings and weekends) to ensure your needs are always met.
When it comes to maintaining well-appointed suites, it’s not only up to the cleaning staff. Each guest services team member is in touch with housekeeping supervisors, to review the schedules and ensure that arrival, departures and guests’ special requests are completed in a timely manner. Special requests might mean that housekeeping staff are required to handle emergency cleanings that require additional staff assistance. Through regular communication between housekeeping supervisors and guest services, we are able to provide a high-quality standard of cleaning each and every time.
From sourcing replacement electronics to selecting custom furnishings, the staff at Delsuites makes it a priority to ensure your stay is enjoyable and comfortable. In fact, it’s through their direct contact with guests that team members gather a sense of the items that will make life away from home, even better for everyone.
While most days it may be a little hectic for guest services staff, there’s certainly never a dull moment. In fact, for many staff, it’s the diverse nature of the job that keeps them energized each day. Similar to the backstage of a concert or theatre performance, you never really know what goes on behind the scenes but when all goes according to plan, it makes for one incredibly memorable experience.
Although downtown living definitely has its perks, you don’t have to live in the heart of the city to enjoy the amenities that Toronto has to offer. In fact, jetting out of the bustling core may be just the break that you need; but let’s face it, even on the weekends, you’ll still want to be close to good restaurants, parks and entertainment venues.
In the heart of North York, the Meridian offers you the benefits of metropolitan living including easy access to green spaces.
From outdoor enthusiasts to young families, guests will enjoy the opportunity to explore the parks and trails that are within walking distance of the front lobby. In particular, the recently expanded Edithvale Park offers plenty of room for playing and picnicking.
Although the parkland accommodates multiple uses, in 2012 the park was professionally designed to incorporate a unified appearance. The expansive park now features two new playground structures, a herb garden and new plantings.
As an added safety feature, additional lighting has been added to the pathways. Intended to serve as a hub for community gatherings, a community baker’s oven has also been added to the location. From crisp pizzas to tender flatbreads, follow the aroma for a delicious treat on weekends and some weeknight evening.
In addition, the Meridian is also close to outdoor splash pads and recreational sports fields that are a refreshing bonus, especially during the heat of the summer months. Along with its close proximity to parklands, the Meridian includes easy access to subway and GO bus systems.
Whether you have business in the suburbs or downtown core, at the Meridian you’re only a five-minute walk to Yonge and Finch station, which allows you to easily connect to other regional transit lines should you need to travel outside of Toronto.
