One of the best things about Yonge and Eglinton is the abundance of must-try restaurants. Here are a few personal favorites that we recommend.<\/p>\n

Himalayan Coffee House<\/b><\/h3>\n

Ever been to one of those fancy coffee houses where you can get handcrafted latte art alongside your light snack from the bakery? You can get that experience near midtown through this well-regarded coffee shop.<\/span><\/p>\n

Take a look at Instagram and other social media channels to see some of the cute designs you might find when you visit.<\/span><\/p>\n

Uncle Betty\u2019s Diner<\/b><\/h3>\n

Craving for breakfast in the late afternoon? This diner offers all-day breakfasts along with other casual eats. The premium menu complements well with the relaxed, retro-styled interior.<\/span><\/p>\n

Salads and sandwiches are a specialty here, but international visitors must try the local poutine on offer. Canada is well-known for its mastery of the dish.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Captain\u2019s Boil<\/b><\/h3>\n

This one is slightly farther away, but it\u2019s well worth the walk for any seafood lover. Getting its name from Cajun seafood boils, this restaurant\u2019s menu offers high-quality seafood combined with a rich blend of spices and seasonings for a truly unique taste you won\u2019t find elsewhere. You can even customize the amount of heat, ranging from simple non-spicy to smoking hot fire.<\/span><\/p>\n

While not an official restaurant, De Mello is a brand you won’t want to miss. This company is dedicated to responsible sourcing of house-roasted coffee beans. Education<\/b><\/h2>\n

In addition to the North Toronto Collegiate Institute, the Toronto Public Library has a branch next door. Finding a quick reference or book to read is easy and accessible this way.<\/span><\/p>\n

There\u2019s also the Hansa Language Centre for any international travelers looking to brush up their English skills. The location was founded as far back as 1969, so it has plenty of experience in this field. There are even online classes if you need them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Other Amenities<\/b><\/h2>\n

In terms of local travel, you won\u2019t be in need of a car thanks to the close proximity to amenities and stores. If you ever need to make your way downtown or elsewhere, the Eglinton TTC station has you covered. It\u2019s only a few feet away.<\/span><\/p>\n
