In the ever-changing landscape of Toronto, one constant has been DelSuites – your home away from home for 25 incredible years. Imagine this: a quarter-century ago, the Toronto skyline looked vastly different, the Internet was a fledgling concept, and DelSuites opened its doors to serve the city’s need for top-notch furnished rentals.

Fast forward to today, and we are not just a business; we’re a community rooted in values that have stood the test of time. With our iron-clad “guest satisfaction guarantee,” DelSuites isn’t just another furnished rental option – it’s a lifestyle choice that improves every stay in Toronto.

This article isn’t merely a trip down memory lane, although we’ll certainly revisit some highlights of our incredible journey. It’s an invitation to explore what makes DelSuites a titan in hospitality and a pioneer in sustainability and customer service.

So, get ready to toast to the big 25 and discover why this anniversary is more than just a milestone – a celebration of community, sustainability, and innovation that beckons you to be a part of something greater.

More than a Suite, It’s a Home

What does ‘home’ mean to you? For some, it’s the warm embrace of a familiar place, while for others, it’s the people who fill a space with love and care. At DelSuites, we’ve been honoured to serve as a home for a diverse tapestry of guests over the last 25 years.

A Sustainable Choice You Can Feel Good About – At Every Level

When it comes to making travel decisions, many of us are becoming increasingly conscious of our impact on the planet. DelSuites aligns with this eco-awareness, integrating sustainability into every facet of our operations – from our suites to our larger community.

We believe in going green, not just for the sake of it but because it’s integral to delivering the best experience for our guests. Our focus on sustainability is all-encompassing. It’s in the materials we choose for our furnished apartments, the partners we collaborate with, and even the way we run our head office.

We understand that making a sustainable choice is also about building a future, and what better way to celebrate our 25th anniversary than to pledge our commitment to a greener tomorrow?

Meet the Team Behind Your Comfort

The heart and soul of any successful organization is its team, and DelSuites is no exception. For a quarter century, we’ve made it our mission to provide top-notch service and create a home away from home for our guests. But what makes our service truly special is the passionate, dedicated team working tirelessly behind the scenes. In addition, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated stakeholders (investors, suppliers, partners) whose unwavering support has been instrumental in our journey towards success.

A Growing Family Committed to Excellence

As DelSuites reaches its silver anniversary, our team continues to grow, allowing us to serve you better. This expansion isn’t merely about numbers; it’s about enriching our service offerings by bringing together people with diverse skill sets, backgrounds, and expertise. More hands on deck means more efficiency and an infusion of new ideas and innovative solutions to elevate your stay with us.

What’s it like to be a part of this amazing journey? In the words of one of our newest team members:

“Being part of the Guest Services team has been an eye-opening experience. It’s not just about tackling the day-to-day tasks but bringing fresh perspectives to enhance guest experiences. The culture here encourages innovation, fosters excellence, and focuses on compassionate care for our guests.”

DelSuites Champions Global Mobility at the CERC Conference 2023

September 7, 2023

Are you a business looking to relocate employees? Are you an employee needing a comfortable and cost-effective housing solution for your next move? DelSuites is here to help.

We are proud to announce our participation in the 2023 Canadian Employee Relocation Council (CERC) Conference, which will be examining global mobility solutions that provide comfort and convenience for businesses and their personnel.

Global mobility refers to the process of relocating people from one location to another for work purposes. This includes both domestic relocations within Canada as well as international moves across borders.

The 2023 CERC Conference will explore how organizations can overcome the challenge of providing their employees with international housing solutions that meet both business and lifestyle needs.

We’ll examine how global mobility is essential for businesses today and how our DelSuites solutions provide cost-effective and comfortable relocation options for your personnel.

What is the CERC?

The Canadian Employee Relocation Council is a membership organization dedicated to providing leadership and assistance to members to effectively serve relocated workers and families, both domestically and internationally.

The organization has over 500 members from across Canada, the United States and beyond. CERC helps its members increase their expertise in workforce mobility by offering programs, publications and services and a forum for corporations and service organizations to communicate more efficiently.

This contributes greatly to Canada’s economy, with an estimated $2.5 billion yearly contribution! CERC also represents some of the top employers in Canada – including 828,000 people employed by 4 of the top 5 Canadian banks, 6 of the top 7 energy companies, and more.

As a result, CERC members have an asset value totalling over $6.1 trillion! With all this in mind, it’s no wonder why participating in the 2023 CERC Conference is so beneficial for those looking to take their career to new heights.

Introduction to the 2023 CERC Conference

As the global mobility industry evolves, CERC’s 2023 conference guides us towards a more proactive and strategic approach.  The event aims to help organizations view global mobility as an essential tool for achieving business objectives rather than merely relocating employees worldwide on a cut-and-paste basis.

At the conference, industry experts, including DelSuites, will discuss how talent management, skills development, and diversity and inclusion can be successfully implemented into corporate strategies.

If you’re looking to stay ahead of the curve, the CERC conference is a one-stop shop for staying up to date on the latest industry trends and networking with peers from across North America and beyond.

Reasons for the Need to Advocate Change in Global Mobility

Navigating the complexities of global mobility can seem overwhelming. The 2023 CERC conference advocates for change to make it easier for organizations and their employees to relocate.

Most organizations report that the lack of available and affordable housing has at least a moderate impact on their domestic and international programs, with 50 percent reporting a significant impact on their programs.

Other difficulties include:

  • High costs associated with relocating personnel, such as travel expenses, shipping goods overseas, etc.
  • Complex legal regulations that vary from country to country
  • Difficulty in finding suitable housing in a new city or country
  • Language barriers and cultural differences that can be difficult to navigate

These challenges can potentially “stall” businesses from achieving their goals, making it difficult for them to relocate personnel across borders.

The Value of CERC Membership in Enhancing Relocation

As a member of the Canadian Employee Relocation Council, you can gain access to powerful tools and processes that will help your business leverage employee mobility in new and innovative ways.

Their vision works to be the voice of change for this industry, while their mission is focused on advancing global mobility through partnerships, research, education and government relations.

The benefits of being a CERC member are:

  • Government relations: Staying informed about current regulations and laws related to employee relocation in Canada.
  • Knowledge: Connecting with experts from all over the world who share their insights into best practices within employee relocation.
  • Education: Learning from the experiences of others in the industry through lectures, workshops and conferences.
  • Affinity programs such as TerningPoint: Offer protection for destination service providers with their truly international professional liability insurance program that is designed to meet unique needs.

With CERC, you can be sure that your business has access to the latest information related to employee relocation and benefits from a supportive network of experts who are passionate about refining these processes.

From September 11-13, 2022, we’ll be on the road to St. John, Newfoundland to attend CERC 2022: Canada’s premier conference for the employee relocation industry.

What is CERC?

Entering its 40th year, the Canadian Employee Relocation Council helps industries and organizations expertly navigate the employee relocation field. Offering research, information, education, and government advocacy, CERC helps employers meet the needs of today’s increasingly mobile workforce.

CERC has over 500 member organizations internationally: including top Canadian banks, energy companies, IT corporations, global management companies, and more. It serves its membership by helping companies effectively meet the needs of relocated employees and their families: addressing the network of issues that impact workforce mobility domestically and internationally.

DelSuites is proud to be an integral part of it, offering stable, comfortable employee relocation housing throughout Toronto and the GTA. As a 20-year veteran of the employee relocation industry, we know there’s always more to learn and ways to adapt to our changing world more intelligently.

CERC 2022 in St. John

This year’s CERC conference in St. John, Newfoundland is focused on post-pandemic talent mobility strategies—and building a creative, transformational road map for how and where we work in the years to come.

This year’s CERC will offer industry white papers, a full conference program on the future and challenges of global mobility, and a trade show floor to network and collaborate on best practices. Roundtable events offer an opportunity to meet delegates from major Canadian employers from every sector—video game development to energy, banking, and government.
