Housekeeping Guidelines

Housekeeping Guidelines

For the safety of your belongings, housekeeping staff will not handle personal items. To ensure a thorough cleaning, we kindly ask that surfaces be kept clear of personal belongings and clutter. If your bathroom includes a medicine cabinet or drawers, we recommend storing toiletries in these areas. If personal items are left on the bed during service, fresh linens will be left in the suite for you to replace.

Please inform DelSuites if you are using your own linens. While we will do our best to avoid removing them during cleaning, occasional mistakes may occur. Housekeeping may dispose of any food or drink debris; if you wish to keep items such as fruit on the counter, please place them in a container or store them in a cupboard on cleaning day to avoid any confusion.

If there is any uncertainty regarding your belongings, items will not be touched, and a member of the Guest Services team may contact you for clarification. Should you have any questions about our housekeeping procedures, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Climate Control

Climate Control Troubleshooting

To change the temperature settings on your thermostat in your suite, please follow these steps:

  • Turn off both/single HVAC systems.
  • If flashing - and error is device (01, 02 -) or control failed then - check to see if switch and breaker is on on the FCU / HVAC Unit itself
  • NOTE! Only a certified technician should touch the HVAC unit – although these step may work in their absence – touching the HVAC unit is at the risk of the user. The only switch on the HVAC unit listed here is the ON/OFF switch and nothing else.
  • Turn off all HVAC devices (ensure HVAC breaker is on)
  • Then refresh HVAC device (see below for refresh steps)
  • Turn HVAC device(s) on and refresh HVAC again from wallpad, the HVAC icon(s) will pop back on.

Troubleshooting

  • Refresh steps - 2 steps -do it once when the HVAC is turned off and again when it's turned on
  • Step 1: Ensure that in the fuse panel, the FCU breaker/s are turned on
  • Step 2: On the wallpad:
  • Click on Apps
  • Click on Settings
  • Click on User Configuration
  • Click on Refresh Devices for HVAC
  • Click OK twice and allow the wallpad about 30 seconds to refresh connection with the FCUs

After both refresh steps are done:

  • Go back to the home screen of the wallpad and check if both thermostats are displaying and functioning properly.
  • If still not displaying properly, restart the wallpad

If there is still an issue – you will need the HVAC unit to be serviced by a specialized HVAC technician – please see reach out to Guest Services to schedule this service.
*Please note* if there is a lag time for service recovery, please turn off your HVAC unit, then turn it back on. If it can't reach the wallpad, it will revert to 20 degrees.
Also, SmartONE integrates with your community’s HVAC system. HVAC units are separate entities from SmartONE.

If you have any problems with your heat or A/C, please contact Guest Services

Appliances

Appliances

Do not leave the stove unattended when cooking.

Clean spills as they happen.

Do not leave the suite when the dishwasher or washing machine is in operation.

Watch for and report any leaks immediately.

Use the appropriate soap for the dishwasher and washing machines.

Using the incorrect soap can cause the machines to overflow and leak as well as costly service calls.

Leave the dishwasher and washing machine doors open slightly when not in use so air can circulate, preventing odours and mildew from forming.

Clean the lint trap inside the dryer after each use as this can be a fire hazard. The lint trap can be found on the inside at the front of the machine.

Waste Management and Recycling

Waste Management and Recycling

Each floor is equipped with a disposal room for your convenience. Please ensure that all garbage is securely wrapped before being deposited down the chute. Out of consideration for your neighbors, we kindly ask that the garbage chute not be used between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m., and that no garbage is left on the floor of the chute room. Large bags must be disposed of in the dumpsters located on the ground floor near visitor parking. For safety reasons, do not place burning materials, flammable liquids, or aerosol cans into the chute.

Recycling facilities are also available on each floor; however, materials must be properly prepared. Please break down all recycling before placing it in the appropriate area, and refrain from putting cardboard boxes, bottles, or cans down the chute. Dedicated recycling room for larger items are located on ground floor near visitor parking, and all boxes must be flattened prior to disposal.

Toilet Issues

Toilet Issues

When flushing the toilet, hold the handle of the toilet long enough to completely clear the bowl.

Be mindful of the amount of toilet tissue used. If the toilet is clogged, use the plunger. It is placed beside the toilet in the main bathroom of each suite.

If the water level continues to rise, turn the water supply OFF immediately and place towels on the floor to absorb any water that flows over.

The water supply valves are located behind the toilet. In most cases, using the plunger will clear blockages.

If you continue to have problems, contact Guest Services immediately.

Charges may be incurred if a plumber is called and the issue was a result of guest mis-use or carelessness.
